Project description

This toothbrush was designed in 1999 with a simple idea, to make the toothbrush more hygienic. We had seen a curious toothbrush with a hole in the middle, which claimed to improve the circulation of the water when brushing the teeth. In reality, if you squeezed the toothpaste onto the brush it immediately fell through.

Starting from that idea, we designed this brush which has holes between the bulbs that house the tufts of bristles. This makes for a more hygienic base of the head.
Thanks to the Venturi effect -rinsing the brush under of the jet of water with the bristles turned down- the water accelerates in passing through the holes and cleans out all the residues of toothpaste and brushing, which generally cause the growth of bacteria. The soft, elastic structure of the head reduces friction with the gums. The grip is ergonomic and the structure slender so it slips more easily into the mouth.
